There are dozens of different types of roaches found in the Midwest region. The three most common found in and around structures are the German, Oriental and American. Although these all look different and have different biology, all three are adaptable and thrive in the same environments as humans. The German Roach is considered public enemy number one, due to the fact that they can carry disease and pathogens on their legs and body. The surfaces they come into contact with may become contaminated.
